    Based in Berlin, Germany, Ahmed Ennaoui has worked on material and process development for solar energy application at the Hahn-Meitner-Institute. He is currently head of the group working on thin Film and nanomaterials for Photovoltaic at Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH. He is exploring the next generation of solar cells, including new materials and innovative cell structures. Long-term goals are to develop efficient and competitive thin film solar cells to a stage where industrial applications can follow as the next step. The proof of concept is supported by the Competence Centre Thin-Film- and Nanotechnology for Photovoltaics Berlin (PVComB)
